Dr. Bobo

Meet Dr. Charles T. Bobo

Dr. Charles T. Bobo is a native of Florence, South Carolina. He graduated from Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina with a biology degree while also playing on the Terrier baseball team. Dr. Bobo went on to receive his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2006. He worked in Atlanta, Georgia for the next seven years, gaining a wide range of knowledge and experience in many different fields of dentistry.

Dr. Bobo and his sweetheart, Lydia, were married in 2008 on her grandparents’ farm in Midland, North Carolina. When the opportunity to purchase Oakboro Family Dentistry presented itself, the Bobos jumped at the chance to return home to the Carolinas, close to family and the land they love. Charles and Lydia Bobo love spending time with their children, Hannah, Thomas, and Harriet. Dr. Bobo is a fan of his wife’s good cooking so it’s a good thing he also likes cycling and running. Watching sports and playing golf are also popular pastimes.

Dr. Bobo feels very lucky to be able to provide quality dental care for the good people of Stanly County and the surrounding areas. He makes it a practice to stay up to date on the latest developments in the field of dentistry by attending continuing education, lectures, and by maintaining relationships with other professionals and specialists. He maintains memberships in the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

Dr. Riley

Meet Dr. Daniela Riley

Dr. Daniela Riley is a native of Colombia, South America. She moved to the United States when she was 14 years old. Dr. Riley earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Erskine College in Due West, South Carolina. She was awarded her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2015. Following dental school, Dr. Riley completed a year-long General Residency program at the Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville, FL. She felt very privileged to be able to provide dental care to our veterans and she was able to gain experience using a wide variety of dental procedures. Dr. Riley is happy to be working with the Oakboro Family Dentistry team and has enjoyed getting to know the good people of Oakboro and the surrounding area.

Dr. Riley and her husband, Nick, have two daughters, Leah and Isabela, and a dog named Lyla. They love spending time together in the beautiful North Carolina countryside. Dr. Riley also enjoys exercising, traveling, and cooking. She also loves helping under-served communities get the dental care they need. Dr. Riley has volunteered in dental clinics in the United States, Latin America, and other countries by bringing dental care to those in need. As a Spanish-speaking dentist, she is uniquely qualified to communicate in both her volunteer work and with our Spanish-speaking patients from the local community. As a general dentist, Dr. Riley feels honored to be able to provide a variety of dental services to her patients including restorative dentistry and oral surgery. She is also certified in Invisalign® and conventional orthodontics.

Dr. Mogy

Meet Dr. Austin Mogy

Dr. Austin Mogy is a native of Florence, South Carolina. He graduated from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering. During his time at Clemson University, Dr. Mogy shot for the Clemson Shotgun Team. He was a member of the shotgun team for four years during which the team won multiple national championship titles and he was named collegiate All-American for two consecutive years. Dr. Mogy went on to receive his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina. Since his graduation from dental school, Dr. Mogy has worked in private practice where he has gained invaluable experience in many fields of dentistry.

Dr. Mogy enjoys spending time in the great outdoors. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and any excuse to get out on the water or into the woods. He has a black Labrador retriever named Cabela or “Bella” who enjoys hunting with him. Dr. Mogy also enjoys watching his Clemson Tigers play football!

Dr. Mogy stays up to date with continuing education and regularly attends a study club with dental professionals of every specialty. These efforts allow him to stay current with advanced dental cases and new techniques as well as maintain professional relationships. Dr. Mogy is excited to be working with the Oakboro Family Dentistry team to serve the people of Oakboro and the surrounding areas!
