Contact UsWhat are my options for oral surgery?
Oakboro Family Dentistry offers a few different surgical procedures in-house, including:
- Dental implant placement
- Dental extractions
- Wisdom tooth extractions
- Bone graft procedures
Is dental sedation available?
Our office provides nitrous oxide sedation to help patients feel calm and relaxed in the dental chair. It can be especially helpful for patients who struggle with sitting still for long periods of time and those who routinely experience dental anxiety. With nitrous oxide, patients are able to tune out their surroundings, and time seems to go by much faster. This safe and effective sedation option works well for most patients, and we’d be happy to add it to your treatment plan.
What should I do post-oral surgery?
Once your treatment is complete, our team will provide you with thorough aftercare instructions to help you have a swift and pleasant recovery. In general, patients who receive oral surgery should stick to eating soft foods and avoid drinking anything through a straw. Avoiding strenuous activities and resting as much as possible is also an important part of the healing process. We will let you know when you can expect to return to your normal routine.
Is oral surgery covered by insurance?
Since surgical treatments are usually performed out of necessity, insurance plans often provide coverage for them. If you are uninsured or underinsured, our office also accepts FSAs, HSAs, and CareCredit™ payment plans, which can be used to divide the cost of your treatment into manageable monthly payments.
