Contact UsWhat kind of dentures can I receive?
Oakboro Family Dentistry offers three excellent choices for dentures: partial, full, and implant-supported. Partial ones replace one or more gaps on an arch, and they use metal clasps to remain firmly in place. Traditional full dentures rest on top of the gums and replace an entire arch of teeth, and they sometimes need denture adhesive to be fully stabilized. The implant-supported ones attach to several dental implants that are placed throughout the arch, which makes them very sturdy. All three options are completely removable.
How do you take care of dentures?
Dentures should be cleaned properly and thoroughly every day so they look great and last for a long time. After you take them out in the evening, you will want to brush them with a soft-bristle toothbrush and mild soap or denture cleaner. Once they’ve been brushed and rinsed off, placing them in a denture solution to soak overnight will help to kill off more harmful bacteria. Soaking them also keeps them moist, which helps them maintain their custom shape, and it gives your gums a break during the night, which reduces any potential discomfort.
Are they affordable?
Dentures are often considered more of an investment, but many patients feel it is well worth it to have a complete and fully-functional smile. Our team accepts many popular dental insurance plans, which usually offer some coverage for restorative services. We also accept third-party payment plans through CareCredit®, which covers the cost of dentures upfront, and a flexible monthly payment plan can be used to pay the remainder of the balance.
